The 3rd Project Meeting of TheFSM project was successfully organized virtually on 12th and 13th of May 2021. Due to the COVID-19 shutdown, the consortium decided to hold the plenary meeting remotely via video teleconference. All the 11 partners gathered online, having constructive presentations and discussions about the upcoming pilots and TheFSM platform development.
The plenary meeting was organized, with partners presenting and reviewing all the activities performed in the 6 last months – in particular the progress made in the several business-scenarios, in the Work Packages and in the apps’ development (FOODAKAI 2.0, Agrivi 2.0 and the Food Inspector) which TheFSM will build upon.
Although the barriers came from the COVID-19 pandemic, our partners realised all the contractual work and more specifically:
- The 5 Business Scenarios were validated successfully with the paticipation of several actors from the global food industry (e.g., food growers, manufacturers/processors, import/exporters, distributors, retailers, packagers), confirming the value of our project;
- The Work Packages were executed timely based on the implementation plans set up by each Work Package leader, delivering coherent results;
- The new version of the apps’ and the new full-fledged feautures were tested during the Business Scenarios with the active participation of several stakeholders, end-users’ and future customers.
TheFSM project Coordinator, Mr. Nikos Manouselis (CEO of Agroknow) pointed out “the importance of TheFSM project towards a robust and resilient food system that functions in all circumstances, delivering safe and certificated food for all citizens, especially in the era after COVID-19 pandemic”.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the meeting and we are looking forward to the next steps.
